BUILD THE GUILD 101
I have several years experience when it comes in Guild Leadership and design. The best way/word to describe at to what makes a guild function is "DEDICATION". Success is not weighed because of outstanding leadership or outstanding membership, but it is weighed by the leadership and the members as a body/guild community. I will take you theough what is my opinion as to building a guild. There are several people who have many years of success, failures, or ups/downs when considering how to run a guild. I personally have taken a Christian Ministry mindset and integrated it into a functional format for guild leadership.
WHAT IS NEEDED?
First of all you need atleast ONE person who is willing to dedicate time, responsibility, and effort to building a core leadership and recruit. But what if you are part of a community already? How come the leadership has not created a guild for a game that a few play? Once again, you need to have someone willing to dedicate their time to build the guild.
WHAT IS YOUR PURPOSE?
Dedication from others is such a villian to any guild leader. So many measure their success by the numbers that join their community or guild. The reality is they may have... More

WHAT IS THE EMERGENT CHURCH?
These Christians have decided that they must fit in the Postmodern. They believe that moderism thininking can NEVER fit in our culture so we must make it fit. They also believe that many if not most of the "truth" in Scripture are metiphors. They believe in Deconstructivism, that there is no Hell, and many other "mystery" like beliefs. Rob Bell is one of the major leaders for the movement. Be wary, he has a series called Nooma. In one of his series he mentions about Peter and walking on water. It sounds wonderful in how he describes it for the viewer, but you must listen carefully to what he is actually saying. He mentions that when he "rereads" scripture of what was actually spoken it was not that Peter needs faith, but Peter needs to realize that Jesus has faith in him.
Words like Missional, Mystery, and emergent will be seen with dealing in their philosophy. Link for some more words: http://carm.org/emerging-church-terminology
They want is to think about the Scriptures and make sure it does not necessarily mean what our modernist have thought about Scripture. There could be a "deeper" and more "mystical" truth to still find. You must realize that God... More

Are you a Follower?
What do I mean by a follower? To be a leader or even a disciple it must start with being a follower. Who are we following? JESUS CHRIST. I have been varying on the thought of what makes a great leader. Where do they come from? Looking into the epistles of Paul he mentioned a few times about members who were arguing about what follower are they. I have also been reading a book called "FOLLOW ME" by David Platt. I have been studying what Salvation truly means. How many of us are hard believers in the "PRAYER"? In our Christian community we heavily try to reach people by the need to do the PRAYER. The fire isurance from Hell. At first when I looked into this I was having issues because I was not sure what it meant about the "PRAYER" being wrong. The twist that hit me was the word "FOLLOWER". I have seen the phrase "I am a follower, not an admirer". What does that mean to you? Have you ever considered what it means to be a Follower of Christ?
Paul mentions in the Bible "So then, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; what is old has passed away—look, what is new has come!" 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NET). We have... More

Disciple or Seat Warmer? One of the concerns I see today in Christians and churches is the lack of Discipleship and Leadership. What do you consider yourself, a disciple or a seat warmer? The church is made up of members, but in our current setting what is considered a member? Is your church missionary focused or is it just full of people coming to hear the pastor speak? What do you think is our responsibility as members of the church? I believe we have all failed at some point at understanding what it means to be a member or a disciple. What comes first leaders or disciples?
I am hoping to continue writing on this series because of the need that is missing in many systems of Christian churches. We have forgotten that being a disciple requires us to actually do work. That we as the members of the church should be stepping it up and offering our services for the Churches we attend. There are many books out there that should be given to each member of the church that could awaken our lazy attitude about church. Yes I use the lazy attitutde because we live in a world of GO GO GO. We believe that by tithing, praying, and going to church is enough. We... More

After discussion with the guild we decided to travel to the land Sea of Sorrows. We were welcomed with open arms; though many of the members chose to stay within the homeland. I took the seven of us across many lands until we found a land that was fitting for our new guild home. The land was constantly being hit by Stormbluff Isle and Crystal Desert. Oddly, Sea of Sorrows is the strongest of the three factions.
Within ten days being in our new home many found us and pledged their desire to join our guild- Awakened to Redemption. We continue to grow as time permits, and we have made great head way in helping the community by facing the dangers in exotic areas of Tyria. War is still on the tip of every members tongue. Whether it is to save their families or fight to protect the lands we live in. We can only continue to trust God to guide us and give us the energy to reach the lost in this new land of Sea of Sorrows.

The army of Sea of Sorrows plows from the Lowlands into Stonemist as Crystal Desert tries to take it. Commanders lead their defenses by setting up many different Siege weapons. Arrows rain down on the enemy as they... More

4/1/13: Blackgate Borderland
Zabbles is a new recruit we have picked up in our humble guild. I, Odid, was sharping my daggers when Zabbles entered my office, "I would really appreciate an opportunity to head into battle." I nodded and sheathed my daggers, and then I grabbed my shortbow, "Lets go then." We headed down Lion's Arch to the portals to the battlegrounds. I noticed that Zabbles held unto his longbow tight. "Are you nervous?", I asked Zabbles as we walked a long. "NO, I am actually excited about taking on the enemy." I smiled and chuckled, and Zabble's hound followed behind. We decided to go into Blackgate borders, and I showed the Asura our papers of permissionto enter. We walked up to the portal and entered in. Moments later we stood in Blackgate's borderland. Sanctum of Rall Army made a camp at a fort we had created. A few commanders were out in the field, and we decided to follow them out to the main field.
We ended up at North Bay Supply where Blackgate had come to defend it. We faced them on, they out numbered the current SoR Army, but Jade Quarry came in behind, of which pulled BG back to defend their Supply. "Zabbles, stay with the commander at all... More

This blog is about who we are. Awakened to Redemption is a Christian Gaming Community. We desire to have many different games that people can play. Why Christian? Well, Christians play games, but more it is because our community is lead by God, structured around His truth, and we desire to minister to the gaming community. This gaming community is structured with a strong leadership, a strong constitution, and it will be built upon the community serving the community. God has commanded us, not in fear, but in trusting, faith, and strength. We are not to hide oursevles from the world. The difference is not conforming to the World, but by being transformed we are to witness and make disciples.
In gaming? Is not games for fun?
Yes, it is for fun, but do we not want God to be involved in ALL our lives? You can have fun, enjoy the entertainment that games provide to our hobby; BUT we are to still be examples, live godly, serve Jesus, and reach the lost. It does not change when we play games. We meet people daily, even in game, our actions are watched and people will desire to want to know more. I ask this, as Christians are we disciples or listeners? My hope is that as you play, you...
